It wasn't as bad an officiated game as I have seen at this level. THAT honor goes to Tom Sterns in a game two years ago against Corpus where he actually held a grudge all night against the Bat's bench for some of the comments coming from Greg Gatto. Nine consecutive penalties against the Bats, about 1/4 of which were even close to legit calls. But last night was a horroble example of the amature officiating we get here in the CHL.
WHAT, they get paid? The league should stop throwing money away. . .
What I am really worried about is the fact that we are getting decent effort and play our of our D for abour two thirds of the game and then (at the end of every period) our D is completely DOG tired. I hear tell that Ovington is skating again, after a short set back and that Homer is just a short time away - but we need legs now. The forwards are helping out on defense, but that means we sacrifice of the offensive end. And I bet a thank you card from Beaudry for a lttle help would be in the offing. That man has stood up to a TON of shots.
Time is running out and I would like to see Hughesie coach a whole season this year. The Second Season, the REAL SEASON!
THE PLAYOFFS!
Come on, at least one the three teams that I root for has got to make the post season and the only one with a prayer are the BATS! _________________ "We know that hockey is where we live, where we can best meet and overcome pain and wrong and death. Welcome Sir Risky! Yeh, our boys derserved that win last night. Even when I was yelling at the bucks that they were playing dirty, several of them were smiling and agreeing with me. Sad. _________________ Jim McKenny: "Half the game is mental; the other half is being mental."
