Who is Insane Wanker? CA in a Baird sweater???????
Quote:
--- While Rio played a solid road game, these guys brought the best road game I've ever seen in Corpus. As far as I know, this was the first time IIYH (wearing a Stayzer sweater), CA (wearing a Baird sweater) and The Insane Wanker have taken their act on the road, but the onslaught behind the Rio bench was non-stop.

For those who haven't seen their act, these aren't your garden-variety hecklers. This was like a Cecil B. DeMille production, what with them wearing the paper bags over their heads before doing the big reveal right after the anthem, complete with an introduction over the PA. Fixter's head appeared to dip a little when he saw them --- IIYH said he looked like "a cow looking at a new gate" --- while some other Rio players looked to be in disbelief. Gillam had a big grin on his face, though, and Maxwell, too. These guys had just about every prop you could think of -- dry-erase board, inflatable doll wearing a Bees jersey, not-so-flattering photos of Masse that were taped to the glass, and of course, a VCR. When I left the arena, I even noticed a sign saying "I KNOW VCRS" taped to the glass. Unreal.

The fans sitting by the glass definitely enjoyed the sideshow and Corpus players I talked to seemed to notice as well. McRae even flashed a grin and wave at the trio when he was walking to the bench before the second period. Hell, Rio owner Troy Nelson said he even wanted to go by there and say hello. As Ed Sullivan would say, a really big show.

Great press for the boys, but I hope they've had enough of the star treatment...we need 'em riding our visitors in our barn every time our boys hit the ice.

Welcome home, hecklers for hire, welcome home.

The guys were freaking awesome...I have a TON of pictures....they are the best and friendliest. Everyone was asking me who they were after I was over there talking to them...took me forever to get back to my seat after playing waitress at one point to help carry the beer....lmao.

Hope you guys had as much fun as it looked like you were having...we enjoyed watching you!

You got quite the harem going there, Ahab. How many Bat-folk does that make now?

Thanks for your help PI, we got some of them pretty good with your jabs. I got a lot of talk back ans was called a "lady dog" several times and told to shut up, so I think we surprised them.

Shanny and Sahaa got Margarettie all heated up, it was great fun!

We can hang, I guess some of them can't! HA!

I liked it when you were telling one of them (I think it was Mallette) to fight and he said if you'd shut up for two minutes, he'd fight. Now that was funny!
