| Doesn't really look like Bores was looking to lay a hit either. He is looking towards the bench to see if he should stay on or come of and mid stride little with his head down just was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

um. I just watched the clip....
Little does have his "head up." He's skating down the ice and is looking "up" and to the left, completing the pass. It was a cheap shot. Borsheim came out of the box looking to hit the guy. He saw the opportunity and took it. Elbow to the face. He wasn't "looking to the bench and just happened to hit him," Borsheim dropped his shoulder to initiate the hit. Mute your speakers and watch it. Don't let the commentator sway your judgement in this. "Little with his head down," come on. He's not skating with his chin tucked on his chest. He's looking up the ice to make a pass.
I don't have an issue with the blindside shot. I have an issue with Borsheim going upstairs to make the hit. Using the guys momentum against him, and throwing your body weight behind a shoulder/elbow shot above the neck is just asking for trouble. _________________ Build a man a fire, and he'll be warm for a day. If it was such a cheap shot why was there no penalty called? Why was there no suspension? Why didn't any of the Rage players stick up for their fallen teammate if it was a cheap shot? Thats what I thought...it was a clean hit. Little has his head down, dfwbat, (the commentator even talks about his head being down). and Borsh takes one step out of the box.

Why was there no call? lol you are really gonna use that as an excuse to say it was a clean hit? your reaching there these are CHL refs we are talking about.

You must be a Ref. Little has his head down recieving the pass from the left he is looking at it hit his stick. The puck then continues to go forward towards the boards. I don't need the commentary as I was at the game and the hit happened in front of our section. I also had the game on DVR and slowed it down frame by frame and watched the hit. Little's head was down looking at the puck, just cause his head wasn't tucked to his chest doesn't mean he was not looking down. Watch it again and watch where the puck comes from and where it winds up. It completely destroys the looking to the left to complete the pass. Right before the hit he was looking left and he watches the puck all the way to his stick and that is when he gets hit. If you don't see it then I think the CHL wants you to apply.
However, upon futher review of the DVR frame by frame Borshiem does glance up at little right before he leaves the box, and then steps out and starts to stride towards the bench, and laid the hit, so yes Borshiem did lay it diliberatly, but while it might have been cheap, IT WAS A CLEAN HIT!!! That type of hit happens all the time when players skate with there eyes down.

Better yet why was there no fine issued by the league. No suspension (sp to lazy for spell check todsay), nothing from the league. I bet that if the rage tought it was an illegal hit they asked the league to look at the tape. I also bet that the league looked at the tape anyway.

I tought it was a cheap shot, but not as cheap as putting it on the team's website as the "hit of the year". Displaying class like that I have ask, do you have the same ownership as Odessa? _________________ I lost my hole, the one in my moniker. Didn't figger I needed it here.

ATTENTION EAGLE HATERS.
It was a LEGAL HIT!! If it was on the punk a$$'s website you would all have it as hit of the CENTURY, but since you are jealous of the Eagles you want to make something out of nothing. Guess what the Eagles are one of the ELITE teams in the league and all your whining, crying and bitching won't change that so instead of being an Eagle hater start being your teams fans, and maybe just maybe your team will be an ELITE team someday. I am starting to belive that some teams fans are just pretend fans, like the Raider fans when it comes to football. Raider fans HATE THE BRONCOS MORE THEN THEY LOVE THEIR OWN TEAM. Do you know why? Becaust they would rather hate every team that is better then them instead of being fans and demanding a true change in their own team to make them better.

Ring what bell the one that show how jealous your fan base is that you will never have a team that can skate, and win against Laredo, Memphis, Bossier, and yes Even the Eagles. It was a LEGAL hit and Little should not have had his head down. If one of your "hard" working apes would have laid the hit you both would be saying wow that is hard work at it's finest, and that is how you should check someone. Come on you know it to be true......

AND AS I SAID, mute your speakers. DO NOT LET THE COMMENTATOR sway your judgement. Go back and look (take of your Eagle-tinted glasses and mute the speakers). If the Rage player truly had his dead "down," how the fark could he have completed the pass? Borsh does take one step out, but initiates the hit, and finishes the hit. You can't honestly tell me, that if the same thing were to happen to one of the Eagles that you'd be billing it as the biggest hit of the year. Ducking the shoulder and throwing the elbow/forearm at the guys head/neck area....cheap shot. May be legal but CHEAP.
I didn't say the shot wasn't legal. I just said the shot was cheap. Much like the shot on Chris Simon last week was legal, but cheap. Simon's retalitory shot was both illegal and cheap.
And you cannot honestly tell me that Borsh did not know where the puck was and where the Rage player was. Those guys come outta the box looking to do one of a few things; 1) Get off the ice as quickly as possible (they'd avoid running into anyone), 2) Get back on Defense/Offense, or 3) Blindside someone. Pure and simple. IF Borsh had not intended to cheap him, and was truly trying to skate off the ice as you've said, why did he initiate the hit? Why did he finish the hit with the follow through?
Big hit? Yes. Legal hit? Yes. Cheap hit? Yes.
Bandit, me a ref? ROFLMAOLOLS.
I'll be the first to call a spade a spade. Sure I may cheer a big hit such as the one Borsh laid out, but I CAN admit when the big hit is a cheap hit.
I'm not an "Eagle-Hater." I'm an Austin fan stuck in Dallas, TX with no CHL team here (Thanks to Ft Worth folding/taking a year off). We used to have Dallas Anderson on the Bats a few years back. Dallas had/has a rep as an enforcer & sometimes goon (wonder why the Eagles haven't signed him ). Dallas had some BIG hits with the Bats. Dallas also had some CHEAP hits with the Bats. Some of those hits legal, some of them illegal. _________________ Build a man a fire, and he'll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.

Again dfwbats Little was RECIEVING the pass not completing the pass. He watches the puck come from his left TO HIS stick, that is why his head WAS DOWN making the hit worse then it had to be.

Ok. so he receives the pass. Legal hit. BUT still cheap IMHO. Hell Borsh coulda leveled him by just being there....the ducking of the shoulder, extending of the elbow/forearm up towards the head is what makes it a cheap shot. Even if Little was looking up, the elbow still would have hit him in the neck or face, THAT is what makes it a cheap shot.
Commentator: "Les Borsheim took one step onto the ice, dropped the shoulder and absolutely destroyed Jordan Little in the process..."
Sure looks like Little was trying to play it off the boards, not just receive the pass. He takes the pass, and then picks the blade up to play off the boards but then gets leveled.

It's not? I didn't say it wasn't legal either, I said cheap. And if that's class, perhaps the Eagles might consider a name change to reflect their "hit of the year" attitude. Say, the Colorado Chickenshits? I wager their management hasn't seen what's being touted as their hit of the year on their website. _________________ I lost my hole, the one in my moniker. <DISCLAIMER> I'm going to try to be completely un-biased here, but it won't come off that way.
In looking at the hit, it looked to me that it was not to the face, but to the highest part of the shoulder, and thus the most vulnerable. It was a clean hit. Now, should it have happened with Borsheim coming out of the box? Probably not, he could have avoided the hit if he wanted to. It's bordering on an unfair advantage, but it is still legal.

If he would have been playing it off the board his head WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN DOWN WATCHING THE PUCK HIT HIS STICK. He would have been looking at least towards the board and probably up and seen the hit coming.

You want us to believe that you can judge class? Your not just Ape Shit, you are an Ape Shitter. Is that like an outhouse for an ape? Like I said before and I will say again and put it in terms you might comprehend. It's kindof like Santa Claus, no matter how hard you want something to be true, and no matter how many BS post you put up to try to make it true Santa just doesn't exists. The Eagles are a Class act in the league, they are one of the best teams, they are an AWESOME ORGINIZATION, and guess what most of your Gorillas would leave your team tomorrow for a shot to play for them, but maybe if you weren't such a Eagles hater and more or a Gorilla fan you might learn to see other things then Santa Claus.
BTW the management probably doesn't care because it was a Clean, Legal hit. Did it need to happen? Probably not, but Little's head was down and that in fact is PART (AND YES I SAID PART) of the reason it was as hard of a hit as it was. Had he been looking anywhere other then watching the puck hit his stick the hit WOULD HAVE NEVER HAPPENED, and that my friend is the truth.

Nooooooo, read it again, perhaps more slowly this time. What I said was Shittle is a cheap shot artist and deserves whatever he gets, especially if he is stupid enough to skate in front of the box with his head down, knowing that Borsh is about ready to come out of the box. It was an extremely hard, CLEAN hit. You can be guaranteed that the league reviewed it--no fine, no suspension, end of story. It was not a retaliatory hit, nor was it a cheap shot. $hittle was in the wrong place at the wrong time, or the right place at the right time depending on how you look at it. My only point in bringing up $hittle was that if the hit was going to happen, it couldn't happen to a nicer guy!
Thanks AG for an unbiased opinion.
