The puppies are on a roll and yet you guys are awfully quiet....kinda makes me nervous :
Big game for both teams Friday nite. Although it certainly wouldn't break my heart to see you overtake Memphis in the standings, I don't want to help you do that Friday nite.
Should be a great game

a little quiet here because there have been some issues that are still uncertain, which could be cause for some concern.
Shaffer - Possible suspension for a knee-knee hit on OKC Player
Maslonka - left Tues game twice with injuries
Johnson - possible IR status
Nevertheless, it will be a great game...sucks I have to listen to it instead of seeing it live. _________________ "If you keep the opposition on their @#$!%, they can't score goals" - Dave "the Hammer" Schultz

Oh, I'll be happy to give you the goodies on all the things the bugs do well :
I didn't know your boys were heading this way with some "ifs". Although I don't really mind if you play short since we've been without a couple of important guys lately ourselves.
A suspension would be nice...hate to hear about any injuries...especially at this time of the year. I just don't know what i'll do if big boy Lurch isn't out there for me to scream at!

I just knew you would be totally heart broken about Maslonka's potential injury...
The suspension is just speculation on my part...I've seen the league come back with both harsher and more lenient rulings, but nothing has been posted yet, so hopefully Shaffer will play. Oddly enough, the game he got booted from was Tuesday, his birthday!!
No matter what, we both still have some big guns in the line-ups, so it will not be an easy win for either team!! _________________ "If you keep the opposition on their @#$!%, they can't score goals" - Dave "the Hammer" Schultz

Definitely bat....and it can only get more intense this weekend.
With a win in Bossier (and a Memphis loss vs OKC) on Friday, the Hounds will be tied with the RiverRunts for 2nd in the Division and the #3 playoff spot...which would make the Saturday game (vs Memphis) a real thriller!!
Wins this road trip would be huge...especially with a 3-game series with Colorado next week!! The more momentum the better!!! _________________ "If you keep the opposition on their @#$!%, they can't score goals" - Dave "the Hammer" Schultz

How about if the bugs take Friday nite....then you guys just roll on over memphis and colorado. We'll do all we can to keep memphis from winning any more. then between us, we'll have the 1 and 2 spots in our division.
(No, you cannot have our spot!)
Something tells me you won't see a suspension on your boy. I didn't see the hit but at this point in the season it would have to be pretty obvious as intentional to get the game. At least that's how I see it. I suppose it shouldn't matter when in the season it is......just now is a bad time to be suspending guys on questionable stuff.

As much as I would love to see us stomp the Turtles and then sweep the Eagles...I think that will be a tough order to fill...
So, NO, I don't think I can agree to those terms at this point in the season. Even though we only need 1 point to clinch a spot (or any Tulsa loss), I'd rather see the Hounds clinch the Division!!
Hell, if the Hounds could win-out they would surpass the Eagles win streak (15)...8 wins in a row & 8 games to go!! Too bad I'm a realist, not an optimist, but crazier things have happened!! _________________ "If you keep the opposition on their @#$!%, they can't score goals" - Dave "the Hammer" Schultz

PB, I think you're right about no suspension. It wasn't a match penalty, and it's not Shaffer's third general category game misconduct. It was a hard collision, but wasn't a case of bad intent---from my view he didn't stick his leg out or anything. It occurred in Blazers' defensive zone, with Shaffer on the forecheck. Looked like the Blazer cut just prior to contact. I must admit it happened quickly and I haven't seen any film or replay, but I don't foresee supplemental discipline.
As for the walking wounded, I think all made the trip. Just have to wait & see if there are any last minute scratches.

Can you say "screeching halt"? Now it is time for your boys to start another winning streak. We'll be happy to end that one for you on the 25th.
I promised some goodies, so here goes
Our first goal was just funny to watch. Roberts stopped the original shot only to leave the puck just sitting there to his left. I can't imagine what he was thinking not to put a glove on top of it.....but I can imagine what he was thinking a couple of seconds later.
One of your boys (can't remember who although i suppose we could tell from PS) decided to give a nasty little punch to Cam after the check. Bad move because Chris Abbott put him flat on his butt with a shove. Another funny one to watch.
What should have been your first goal gave me more than a giggle too. Ask your boy Christian how in the heck does he miss a wide open goal when he manages to shoot the puck BEHIND the goalie. I tell ya, I was almost embarrased for him. Went to DeCaro's right, shot the puck behind him and that puck just came right across to John's left.
Lots of physical play in this game. Frustration made your boys nasty. Strangely enough I kinda like Anderson but he sure is a dipwad. He and Lurch are big enough and play well enough to use their size effectively but instead they seem to go in the stupid direction last nite. I hope they both get the crap beat out of them before the season is over. and I don't care who does it. Not saying they aren't good hockey players but I am saying they don't handle adversity well. :P
No doubt both teams feel a little beat up today.
We had a few go off the ice with problems and a couple that didn't make it back to the game. Most notably is Cam Abbott who took the full force of a puck to the jaw on a clearing attempt from Ytown and it seemed he was only a few feet from the shot. He was so close to it that I thought it was the stick that hit him. Not intentional on your boy's part, I'm sure.
Your boys seem to be feeling the pain as well. I hope both teams are good to go for tonite.
Good luck to ya!

Glad to hear Cam was back on the ice again....I'd hate for the Bungs fans to use him as an excuse as to why they lost to the Hounds next weekend. ;) _________________ "If you keep the opposition on their @#$!%, they can't score goals" - Dave "the Hammer" Schultz

not hardly....as much as he'll be missed....I can't blame a defenseman for a loss...it's hard to win games without GOALS...and that's not really his job. Although I have debated paying him more money just to annoy you PB!! _________________ "If you keep the opposition on their @#$!%, they can't score goals" - Dave "the Hammer" Schultz

games are won on both ends...just as important to stop the other team from scoring.
DMen hardly get the glory the scorers get...unless, of course, you are a certain Bugs DMan that picks up a hat trick!!!!
(Yeah, I know you wouldn't know about that either)

Very true, but I'm pretty sure that the teams with the MOST goals still wins...I will glady give up 10 goals, as long as we have 11....may sounds strange, but winning is winning!! _________________ "If you keep the opposition on their @#$!%, they can't score goals" - Dave "the Hammer" Schultz

| I don't have a problem with that as long as it is the Bugs with the +1 when the final buzzer sounds.
