The Hounds have a very significant stretch of games coming up...
The Hounds need some wins against the RiverQueens (4 of their next 6 games) as well as against Witchita. But the big showdown will come in 2 weeks, when OKC comes to Y-Town. If the Hounds can take over the #4 seed for the playoffs, it will give them a better chance to make it to the 2nd round, thanks to the CHL's goofy system. RIght now the Hounds are only 3 pts behind the Blazers for that spot. _________________ "If you keep the opposition on their @#$!%, they can't score goals" - Dave "the Hammer" Schultz

Agree. I think we will fair well against Queens and Slugs for the rest of the games. I for see both teams losing points. I say this because they both have been playing really well and they are both due for a meltdown... _________________ DISCLAIMER: In no way does the author of this post imply or intend to cause physical harm to those mentioned in the authors post. I would just prefer to be the #4 seed or better, no matter who we would draw in the 1st round....with the goofy playoff system, this would give the Hounds a added advantage to move into the 2nd round.
With each conference having 6 teams in the 1st round, it forced them to make the ruling that the higest seeded team to be eliminated in Round 1, would still make it to Round 2. The #5 or #6 seed have no chance to move on unless they win their 1st round series. If the #1, #2, and #3 seeds all win in round 1, the #4 seed still moves on!! _________________ "If you keep the opposition on their @#$!%, they can't score goals" - Dave "the Hammer" Schultz

I have to disagree. Bossier is in their normal mode for this time of year. They start off slow and pick up huge momentum heading into the playoffs. They also have a very favorable schedule with most of their remaining games at the CTC. They are in a position they hadn't been in a while and that is 2nd place in the division. They don't like that and are going to do all they can to get the division title. I don't see them stumbling much, if any. The best chance for a bump in the road was last week in Colorado and they made a HUGE statement!
The Kings just came off a 9 game road trip, the longest in franchise history. Despite going 5-4 they maintained the division lead. They also had the injury bug jump up and bite them while on the road. To make things a little more difficult, they only have 5 of their 15 remaining games at home. The road is never easy and the next trips include trips to Why?town and south Texas. The final 12 days of the season the Kings play 8 games. Of the 8 only 3 are home games. The only plus the Kings have is they have the division lead and DO NOT want to give it up. They have worked too hard to lose it now and it will not be handed over without a fight. The final game of the season will be huge for the Kings as it is against the Bugs. The winner of that game could very well clinch the NE.

As much as I would love to see a 6 point road trip this week, it WILL definitely be a battle (except in Witchita). As much as I make fun of the Queens and Bungsm I also have to give them their due respect...both teams have done some great things this season...especially when playing Colorado. Let's keep out fingers crossed that the Hounds can find some of the same magic, as 3 of our last 6 games are with the Eagles...and that last stretch will be a huge determining factor for the hounds and their playoff seed. _________________ "If you keep the opposition on their @#$!%, they can't score goals" - Dave "the Hammer" Schultz

No doubt...the Bungs winning 9-1 on the Eagles turf...that's huge!! As much as I was hoping they would lose (both games) I have to give them credit for a great game!! _________________ "If you keep the opposition on their @#$!%, they can't score goals" - Dave "the Hammer" Schultz

Steve Levy and Barry Melrose will be in attendance that weekend, so maybe the 'mullet' will bring us good luck. _________________ "If you keep the opposition on their @#$!%, they can't score goals" - Dave "the Hammer" Schultz
