Rumor has it that as many as a quarter of the games will be televised. Can we stay home and watch these for free? Do the STHs get a discount or credit for those games? _________________ “I’m so frustrated with the business. The same discount that the Flyers give me for my season tickets, based on the number of games televised. _________________ "We know that hockey is where we live, where we can best meet and overcome pain and wrong and death. Life is just a place where we spend time between games"

| What difference does TV make? I'd much rather be there to see the veins popping out of these prospects heads when they get a good CHL-style heckling.

In other words, a team full of Miroslav Koprivas and Terry Virtues? Sounds like a lot of fun. _________________

Nope, just having spent 13 seasons as an AHL fan (and STH), I know that the level of professionalism is a shade higher than the "C". Most of the players have a higher level of focus with the brass ring in sight. Of course, there are plenty of hot heads to fall prey to the "antics". Back in Philly, we had a few professional hecklers (CA and Head would have fit in nicely) positioned around the penalty box and they contributed their share. . .
And it is as most people fear, the players ARE more removed from the fans. Mostly due to individual attitudes. John Slaney (long time Philly Phantom and future AHL hall of famer) was always hanging with the fan club for events and such. And many players are available for autographs and puck bunnys after the games in the Spectrum's Bar - Bullies. Of course, at the AHL level, the can afford their own post game dinner and drinks. . . . _________________ "We know that hockey is where we live, where we can best meet and overcome pain and wrong and death. Unfortunately for many of the Ice Bat faithful, yes. Personally, I don't give a hoot. I prefer screaming as we win the Cup (Calder) and have had the opportunity to have done that twice in the last 12 seasons. Of course, I am from Philadelphia where the Championships come few and far between (25 years and counting on the TOP levels).
