The day of reckoning has arrived for the Rayz, as Doug Frank said last-gasp sales attempts fell through and the team will not play in 2008-09.

Knew it was coming....but like db said on rajans blog...we need to come back in in a year completely new.....owners, colors, name, logo, everything...NOTHING referring to Rayz or IceRays.....get the Billy D and Billy D, Jr. curse OUT OF HERE!!!

| Why have you chosen such a personal and hateful attack on the owner of the Rayz? You have come on multiple message boards, the newspaper's comment section, and continue to throw around this very personal and hateful garbage. What have you ever done to help keep hockey in Corpus Christi? I hear that you still owe the team for your tickets. Why can't you appreciate the tremendous investment (and losses that came with it) to keep hockey alive in CC instead of bashing the person that was crazy enough to do it? I am sickened watching people like you sitting on the sidelines and criticizing those that were willing to spend more money than you will see in a lifetime to make this work, and when it doesn't then somehow they are the villain here? Regardless, my amazement at that logic aside, the level of your rumor-mongering and personal insults and slurs says everything about who you really are. Run the checklist on your personal and family life and go wedge yourself in the cramped little burrow that you surely crawl to and from.

For your information I owe NOTHING to the Rayz, I have paid my Debt to them and long ago. You have not idea who I am unless you are who I think YOU are. And nothing is a personal attack against him, all I've ever said is what everyone already knows and part of the reason the team went under. And I fail to see where, unless you are Doug, this is any of your business. Now you have personally attacked me with mentioning my family and how it is ran which has NOTHING to do with Hockey, but Doug is the center of Hockey here. So leads to me to believe this is probably YOU or one of his flunkies AGAIN as on the other boards...you seem to be obsessed with attacking MY comments as I see you never reply to anyone elses that mention the same things ......Hmmm, pot calling the kettle black there...
I would suggest you leave MY family situation out of this as not the entire hockey world knows what goes on in my family as they do the dealings Doug has made with the team....you are slandering minor children and people who don't even read these forums...so grow up and keep it HOCKEY!!!

Dear Scumbag,
SinD wins, you lose. Shouldn't you be devoting your time to deleting posts on the Rayz board before the new owner pulls the plug on that one and establishes a new, unbiased board (like this one, for instance?)
