Any word how he is? Although we all enjoy a good hit you never want to see a player injured.

I was told that Joe has a severe concussion & is out for the season.

Hate to hear that. I did not see the game or the hit, but I did hear the hit was reviewed on video and declared clean.
Regardless, I hope Joe makes a full and speedy recovery.

I don't think Joe ever saw the freight train coming. Joe took a shot & appeared to be looking at the puck when the train blind sided him. His helmet flew off & he hit the ice with his head. Joe was very pale & unconscious after the hit.

Sounds like the hit Stevens put on Karyia several years ago.
I am involved with youth hockey and USA Hockey preaches "Heads up Hockey". From what you described, that is the exact reason why. Like I said, big hits are fun to see until the guy doesn't get up.
