anybody want to explain why your goalie was suspended for 15 games by the league?
must have had something to do w/ the new mexico game melt down at the end of the game when schmit and stayzer w/ some help from the bench from harvey clashed and earned 46 PIM for schmit and 70 combined for the scorp duo/but there is nothing on the game sheet about your goalie getting involved or even penalized/so what happened?
schmit got 4 games
stayzer got 3 and harvey got 8
why did dunbar get 15 games?

still would like to know if there is someway to see this-does anyone have a link or know how you can see games that have already happened on nifty?

Unfortunatly, on the replay of the game on UNNifty, you cant' see it.
It happened on behind the play of the puck and the camera did not catch the incident that results in Dunbars suspension.

I have seats on the glass right where the incident happened, and sure enough, Dunbar got his stick up into Skiehars face. and Skiehar went down...
Dunbar had been getting stick happy for quite a bit of the night.

Do I think he intentionally tried to mess up a guys face like that? No, should he have been careful of where he was shoving his stick, yes.

Should Harvey have come off the bench, to drop Dunbar on his tushy? I don't know. I think the leauge would have reviewed it with appropriate action taken by the Scorps managment, but it would have had the extremity of punishment? No... I like Harvey and the fact that he will stick up for his teammates, but he put the Scorpions in a far more precarious position with the resulting altercation.
From others that have seen it, and not my own experience, the cut that required quite a few stitches was about 1" below the eyes and broke his nose as well. Trust me, this is all heresay.

hey QJ I was trying to defend your guy based on the report you gave and the punishment he got from the league.

I do not know what happened/but do not think intention to harm is ever good=not that he was doing that/I was not there.

I think Dunbar meant to hit Skiehar, but I don't think his intention was to poke a hole in the guys face.
Personally, I'm glad he got 15 games, shows the dangerous side of hockey and sets an example of him.
