Under everyone's name, you'll find the following information:
Joined date, Posts and now...Karma.
It can be used, I suppose, to warn folks off of a poster or help newbees and visitors know who's here to talk hockey.
Double posts, off topic posts, hijacking a thread are all things that could incur negative karma.
Providing good info and the like could earn positive karma points.
