Mark January 24 on your calendars, which is the next time the Flyers and Penguins will play. Next time it'll be in Pittsburgh.
Tonight the Flyers scored two early goals, the Pens evened things up on two first period PPGs, and over the next two periods the Flyers potted six in a row. Joffrey Lupul had six points (3G 3A) and Umberger also had a hat trick for the Broad Street Bullies. There were about a half-dozen fights, including a couple real good'uns, beginning at 0:20. George Laraque slid into Marty Biron like he was trying to break up a double play at second base. Lots and lots of trash talk, more fighting, some of the lengthiest and most lip-readable conversations I have ever witnessed between players in opposing penalty boxes.
For an 8-2 hockey game, it was a helluvalotta fun to watch from beginning to end....can't wait for the next one. And they play five more times.
