Well, what's funny about this is that they actually really could do something like that. Remember that last night they only gave up one goal to a pretty good hockey team, in their barn, in front of more season ticket holders than we could fit in our whole place. So Hughesy's got 'em playing hard. They're just not a very good offensive hockey team with any consistency, and the goaltending has been a little streaky.

A month into the season we were all shaking our heads in growing despair when the team inexplicably went on a five-game winning streak. Wherever they wind up with five games to go, if they were to put up another five-game winning streak to end the season, three of those would be wins over Rio Grande and we'd probably be playoff-bound.

And I could also win $267 million in tonight's Megamillion drawing. If I do, my first call will be to Jeff Buch. winking
