That explains why Miro wouldn't look at us when we yelled "wave!" He thought we wanted to see him get cut.

Will Rogers said that when you find yourself in a big hole the first thing to do is to stop digging. Sound advise from a sage like him, right?

It reminds me of the story about the mule who fell into the empty water well. That mule couldn't do anything but dig. The townsfolk tried everything they could to get him out. But the more he dug the harder it was for them to save him. When their ropes could no longer reach him, they gave up and walked away. But that mule kept digging. Eventually, he hit water and floated out of that hole. Sure, he went out and kicked alot of those townsfolk who gave up on him for dead. But he was alive and well.

Keep digging Bats...it's there.

The sad thing is, to go up to Oklahoma City and only give up one goal with two of your four best D long missing, a third one freshly absent and a replacement who hasn't been on the ice professionally for 10 months? Not half bad. Of course I would play pretty conservatively and defensively under such circumstances, especially on the road, and that leaves you with no offense if you don't score on the PP.

Yup. That's the type of game you hope you can steal. And if you're in our situation....the type of games you NEED to steal. Reality is beginning to sink in.

Yeah like I said yesterday, it's not like they laid over for the Blazers, they must have played hard and done a lot of things right. Everything but score. Except for one discussion between the ref and the goal judge, though, it doesn't look like they got even a sniff at a goal. McNabb and Kuster....one SOG BETWEEN them? Pretty sad.
