Has anyone else noticed that?
Last season we were bombarded by that goofy Dodge commercial with the fairy....that ad even offended a lot of people who weren't gay....and now we keep seeing this Heineken commercial with the dancing robotic woman, where the beer seems to pour practically out of her tits. It's subliminally disgusting to me. I'm not sure I'd want my kid seeing that ad.
And have you noticed the weird "product placement" in the Dodge ads? There's one with a black family taking a ride together in their Dodge SUV....and in the back seat, the two black girls are entertaining themselves by watching a hockey game on the video display.
Very weird.
I'm wondering if the league is driving this on purpose, or just allowing it to happen. I wonder, too, if the league wouldn't be better served by exercising more, or different, editorial control over the advertising that punctuates its product on the air.
