There was a post game skate after the game and there was blood all over the ice. There was 1.5 seconds left in the 3rd and OT was certain. They lined up for the face off and they were talking before the puck dropped but I didn't think they'd fight that late in the game. Puck drops and off come the buckets and gloves. Bodine starts heading to center ice to square up and he took his eye off of Maslonka and bam, in flies the Slovakian stiff with a solid right directly on Bodine's nose. I'm surprised Bodine didn't go down but they kept throwing. Bodine got the take down but a clear and decisive win for Maslonka.

As far as an ole' fashion whoopin goes, we'll see. We should have something for this weekends games that we hadn't had since the beginning of the season. I predict we come away with at least 4 points.

Hmmmm....
Something the Riverkings haven't had since the beginning of the season???
Would that be back to back losses to the Hounds?

Although entirely possible, given the way the Hounds have played as of late, I hope it's not back to back losses. What I was referring to is this:

Memphis 03/01/07 ADD Wenzel, Sheldon (RW) activated from IR

This brings our toughness to a whole different level.

Too bad he's a RW, so is Dallas...if they line up next to each other during the game, I'm sure we'd see some sparks

Don't be surprised to see position changes during the game. MacIver's a d-man and lined up at wing next to Dallas in the game Friday night. That's when they both got their first unsportsmanlike's. Ref knew they were gonna go and blew the whistle at the drop of the puck. MacIver dropped his gloves but Dallas didn't. Poor Dallas thought he suckerd MacIver into a penalty but got sent anyway.

Glad to see Sheldon's healthy again! I missed getting to see him when the Kings came to Austin. He's a great kid and one helluva' hockey player.

Anybody planning on video'ing the game? All those ex-Bats...Dallas, Big Mac, Sheldon. Somebody's gonna' drop 'em.

Big Bad Sheldon fought Milan Maslonka in the 1st. Lost decision, but did score the late takedown. not a very impressive bout.

Bodine was wearing full face mask---was that the result of last week's fight with Maslonka?

Dallas was pretty tame tonight. Almost scored however.

from my vantage point it looked like Maslonka lost his footing....whatever happened to cause the fall it was definitely NOT a Wenzel punch...Sheldon got 2 solid hits in (maybe) versus 5-6 big rights by Maslonka. Despite the keep slashing shots Wenzel was dishing out behind the play, I was impressed with his sportsmanship after the fight with Maslonka.

On a side note, I have to ask...is Wenzel just naturally ugly or is that from taking too many punches to the face??

Why even ask that unless your gay and interested in dating a hockey player? Unless your a girl.

And yes JH, the full shield was used as a result from the fight (I should say beating) he had with Maslonka.

bh - no need to get all nasty, just because the Hounds smacked the RiverRunts right out of thier shells, both on the scoreboard and on the ice.
