Greg, are you going to give our team and coach any credit for what they have accomplished this season? It's nothing short of miraculous, and Hughes has all but sewn up "coach of the year" honors.

I dunno about coach of the year....that jury is still deliberating, and there are several coaches who have done their customary excellent recruiting and coaching jobs this year, and whose records are a helluvalot better than ours.

But yeah I'd have to agree with you that instead of whining about Paul DePuydt (whom I have always considered to be one of our more competent referees), it might be nice if someone outside of Austin mentioned that the Bats are the hottest team in the CHL at the moment. Quenneville's not the only one skating with his head down.

The ref can only give your team the power plays, he can't score the PPGs for you. We got five PPGs and a shorty last night. That's not about Paul DePuydt, that's about our special teams playing a lot better than their special teams.

Not sure we're hotter than NMX or BOS, but we're definitely playing well up and down the lineup. Hopefully Tessier didn't suffer an injury last night on that last goal. Holy crap he must lead the league in minutes played - he's ALWAYS on the ice it seems.
