TEXAS BRAHMAS ANNOUNCE FIRST EVER INTER-LEAGUE GAME
Brahmas to face Mississippi at NYTEX Sports Centre

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas (August 7) - The Texas Brahmas of the Central Hockey League (CHL) announced their preseason game for the 2007-08 campaign on Tuesday.

The Brahmas will face the Mississippi Sea Wolves of the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) on Friday, October 12 at home at the NYTEX Sports Centre in North Richland Hills.

This will be the first time in the Brahmas ten year history to compete against a team from the ECHL.

“We are excited about getting out there. Being able to compete against another competitive league will be incredible for both organizations. I can’t wait for the fans to come check it out,” said Head Coach Dan Wildfong.

Friday’s contest is scheduled to start at 7:05 PM. This will be the first opportunity for fans to see a CHL game at the Brahmas new home and for their first glance at the team after a one year absence. This game will also be played in conjunction with the NYTEX Sports Centre grand opening weekend.

Individual game tickets for the 2007-08 season and tickets for the preseason game will go on sale in mid-September. Texas Brahmas season tickets are available now. For more information please call (817) 336-4423 or log onto www.brahmas.com.

Makes even less sense for the Sea Wolves. (But still makes more sense than the NAME "Sea Wolves.")

Probably Mississippi because they are just coming back to play in the ECHL after taking a "break" due to the total destruction of their arena by that bitch Katrina.

So, it fits that they'd play an exhibition/pre-season game with both teams coming back from hiatus.

SeaWolves was a nick name for WWII era U.S. submarines (I think).
