From the Bats (RIP) website:
$1000 for 31 games = $32.26
From the Stars flyer:
$1600 for 42 games = $38.10 |
Your not taking into acount the lost Laturdo ticket if you didnt pay soon enough. You have to factor that in to your price.

They might have less employees in Austin than NI come October of 2009, and NI couldn't even fill Chap.

| Well, yeah, but as far as I can tell there were several people that weren't from NI there, including the set of eyes that made that observation, VLP.

They filled it better than last year's Bats ever did, that's for sure.
There were a handful of us, but it was definitely an NI crowd.
I never understood the big deal. I gave up my ticket, and went to the game anyway. When I got there the ushers said "c'mon in!" _________________ NHrow7 (1996-2006)

| Regardless, there is a big difference in barely filling a 1900 seat arena and filling a 6800 seat arena.

Well I agree with you there. I was advocating no more than 5,000 seats, and the fewer the better. _________________ NHrow7 (1996-2006)

I went to their new office which is right across the street from me. Saw a couple of familiar faces working in the sales office like Danny. Biggest shock came when I heard a voice saying hello to me from behind and lo and behold it was the team's new Director of Marketing and Sales, initials.........J B Yep, that J B _________________ Retired!

Fro Realz? So, is 97 gonna /wrists now? Jeff Buch involved with the Texas Stars....97 I see a game totally sold out in your future, that you cannot go to....
***I guess I should have added this image initially so 97 wouldn't go all Emo and take the post as a personal attack.

Yea, for real.
I will say he was very laid back, i.e. no pressure of ownership. Their ticket sales group is larger than the entire Bat's office staff was. _________________ Retired!

How can I not bring it up any time JB's name comes up. You kicked and screamed, and pissed and moaned for so long leading up to and after the NI game that any time JB's name comes up, I just have to remind everyone what an ass you made of yourself.
Also that post was made in jest. _________________ Build a man a fire, and he'll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.

My initial post was in jest, but obviously you are still all butthurt about the whole NI ordeal otherwise you wouldn't get your tee-tee all red about it any time someone jokingly brings it up.
And you'll forever be remembered as the cry-baby, titty-fit throwing dickhead. Forgive me if I remind everyone of that. _________________ Build a man a fire, and he'll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.

Surplus of seats is great if you consistantly use em all. I always thought it was a better idea to have less seats with more "room" to add temporary seats or an area designated "standing room only," than to build an arena that an established team would have a hard time filling up. 5000-5500 permanent seats would have been ideal, IMO. 6800 seats seems like there will be a ton of empty seats. _________________ Build a man a fire, and he'll be warm for a day. And you are the stud who talks shit over a computer - the winner who regularly posts on a messge board of a team you live 4 hours from. Good for you. You are a winner.
Maybe we'll meet face to face and you talk your shit to my face, pussy.

You'd never know the Bats were gone. We seem to be in midseason form around here already. :-) _________________ “I’m so frustrated with the business. I'm just poking fun. You're the internet tough guy (ITG). You're the one talking all kinds of smack. I started with a very tongue in cheek post. You chose to take it personally and go into ITG berserker "OMG, m33t m3 and I will totally PWN joo, fucking pussy" mode. And I do believe we've met before so.......
The fact that you're resorting to the caveman response just goes to show that you're still pissed off about the whole NI ordeal. And pissed whenever anyone brings it up. Your roid-rage like response only encourages people to continue bringing it up, just to see you go into internet tough guy mode.
As to me living 4 hours from Austin, hmm. So I guess its a bad thing that I drove down to see and cheer for a team that locals (other than the diehards) didn't support? I guess its a bad thing that I would schedule business trips around the Bats' road schedule so that I would be able catch a game and be one of the few Bats supporters that made the trip. I guess its a bad thing that I've been to more Bats home and road games than I have Brahmas games, seeing as I'm only 45 minutes from their barn.

Nice logic, genius. It couldn't have had anything to do with you calling me a dickhead, right? Go fuck yourself. You act like you know me. You don't. You act like you are "poking fun" when you are the prick who can't let it go. You are just too cool for me.

I didn't just call you a dickhead. I called you a "cry-baby, titty-fit throwing dickhead." In everyday life, you may be Ward fucking Cleaver. But in the instance I was referring to, you were indeed acting like a "cry-baby, titty-fit throwing dickhead." Dickhead was just the first term that came to mind. What if it had been "cry-baby, titty-fit throwing douchbag," would you still have gone all internet tough guy on me? Or perhaps "cry-baby, titty-fit throwing pendejo?" Or "cry-baby, titty-fit throwing doughboy?"
I can and have let it go boyo. I just enjoy pushing that button, watching you have an online shit-fit. Am I too cool for you? I had no idea. I guess you are the best judge of the degree of coolness of people in relation to yourself. _________________ Build a man a fire, and he'll be warm for a day.
