I saw them when I wasn't logged in. I don't when I am.

YoMomma has them either way. Does anyone else?

How do y'all feel about ads?

Well I only see them when I am logging in or out , once I am on the site there is no pop-up annoying crap like a lot of other sites have.

So they do not really bother me - but if the majority vote is to get rid of them and the cost is not prohibitive - I would consider paying.

They are there. At the top of each page and after each first post. Could care less. Hope it keeps the site running.

Right now it's "Buy Sports Area Rugs", "North Tx HS Sports Report", "Quality Performers Gear", Go To College Online".

Interesting.

Guess my administratrix status makes me immune to the ads.

According to freeforums.org, there will be an opportunity down the road to make money off the ads. That, hopefully, would pay for the domain registration each year.

As long as there are no pop-ups, or boner pill adds etc, I'm fine with them. At least they're "smart" and have ads up there that are somewhat related to the board's primary focus. I saw an ad for Target, selling hockey gear.

They're not particularly intrusive, although sometimes they slow down page loading.

I'm more interested in the site being reliable, with or without ads. If they don't help make the site stay the hell online and work properly, then I'm not too excited about 'em.

yes if they improve the delivery and stop outages or random error messages from the twilight zone then we should allow them

because as your bro said as long as there are no pop ups or boner pill alerts/phallic enhancement messages then I can live with it-I already get about 50 or so of those a day and my dick is not even one inch bigger yet

we really do not have any cash and would rather get beau trained to bitch slap or toe kick some of the goons than avoid 'buy hockey gear here promotions'

but that is just me,

I was given the choice of having banners or the hyperlinks or both. I chose banners.

Please let me know if you continue to see the random blue links.

Should the whole ad thing tick you off, I am currently accepting donations to pay to eliminate them. The cost is $4.95 per month.

I have no problem with the banners as they are out of the way and pretty unobstrusive. The links that have appeared today are far more annoying. If we can get back to banners only, that would be great.
